Almond pastries

Genovesi

   

The Genovesi are another secret that the nuns of the San Carlo Convent  kept with care and attention. It was Maria Grammatico, when she was an apprentice, to reveal this secret with hard work.

The legend says that after several attempts, she managed to find the right "doses" to unravel the "sweet" secret included in Genovesi recipe.

Their hearts with cream makes them perfect desserts for all seasons, both winter and summer their taste is unchangebole, whereus the delicacy of the dough on the palate is reminiscent of soft caresses and cream and dough together release to taste moments of sheer lunacy of flavour.
